Studio 2LR worked with Sigmatex and Orangeburg County Development Commission to design a 75,000 SF manufacturing facility located on 20 acres at the entrance to the John W. Matthews Industrial Park in Orangeburg County, SC. This is the fifth facility for the UK based international company. Sigmatex develops and manufactures carbon fiber textiles for composite material applications which are utilized by the aerospace and automotive industries. In order to meet the company’s future expansion goals, the facility will be constructed so that it can be expanded to 150,000 square feet and eventually up to 450,000 square feet to accommodate the prospective growth in the aerospace and automotive industries.
