19 Aug Recipients of Vacant Abandoned Building Incentive Program (VABIP)
Studio 2LR recently purchased an abandoned building for their new offices and the firm owners were able to take advantage of the VABIP program to help offset costs associated with purchasing and renovating the vacant property. The Columbia Empowerment Zone (CEZ) is a nonprofit corporation that promotes job creation and community investment in underserved parts of the city. Through the Vacant Abandoned Building Incentive Program (VABIP) the CEZ is reinvesting financial resources to meet the demand for needed retail and office space by renovating and re-using some of the city’s vacant and abandoned buildings.
