Studio 2LR Purchases Property

On April 6, 2016, Studio 2LR officially purchased the former Wilson Upholstery building at the corner of Main Street and Confederate Avenue. The firm plans to renovate the 3,500-square-foot space for its new offices. Studio 2LR plans to preserve the architectural features that are original to the building, constructed in 1938.

“We plan to keep and reglaze the large steel windows and preserve the interior exposed brick and concrete floors to make it feel very similar to the original space,” said Studio 2LR vice president Gretchen Lambert.

In addition to the former Wilson Upholstery building, the 2428 Main St. property is also home to a former gas station which Lambert said Studio 2LR may develop for a tenant in the future.
