SC Department of Natural Resources

The new South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) headquarters is a three-story, 60,000 SF facility designed to consolidate multiple agency offices while providing public resources, including hunting & fishing licenses and educational material for various outdoor activities. Situated at the main entrance of the South Carolina State Farmer’s Market, the building offers a variety of flexible spaces, including meeting rooms, outdoor gathering areas, workspaces, offices, and support zones.

The design prioritizes strong indoor/outdoor connections and maximizes natural daylight to create a warm, welcoming, and efficient work environment. A prominent gable roof marks the main entrance, offering visitors a clear and inviting point of arrival.
