Salty’s Board Shop worked with Studio 2LR to convert an existing retail space on Devine Street into a modern and relaxed store with a storefront designed to engage customers. Polished wood veneer strips reflect the character of early surfboard construction and are used to create a “tunnel” enclosure around the entry doors. Large glass overhead doors allow the owner to open up the store to pedestrian traffic.
